Lowering your washing temperatures saves energy and money. We’re helping you remember to turn it down by introducing new 'Wash at 30°C' labels in our clothes.
As a partner in Together, Marks & Spencer is encouraging its customers to lower their washing temperature to 30˚C. This saves around 40% energy per wash, which saves you money and reduces your impact. If we all switched to washing at 30˚C, we’d save enough electricity to light every street lamp in the UK for 10 months!

• Washing at 30˚C is ideal for most washable items and independent tests* show there’s no significant reduction in performance for everyday loads.
