WRAP is proud to become a partner in the Together campaign. Over the last eight years, WRAP has been helping individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more, helping them make better use of resources and tackle climate change.
We are experts on waste minimisation and recycling and act as advisors to Government.
With the launch of our new 2008-2011 Business Plan, WRAP will develop and deliver programmes which:
• Result in 8m tonnes less waste being sent to landfill
• Save 5m tonnes of CO2 emissions
• Realise £1.1bn of economic benefits
Underpinning these targets we have four key areas of priority for delivery: collection systems, quality of materials being sent for recycling, food waste and packaging.
We work closely with key sectors in business, including manufacturing, construction, retail, recycling and reprocessing, and organics. We also support local authorities with advice and information, and are responsible for the Recycle Now and Love Food Hate Waste consumer campaigns.
