The Mayor of London is committed to fighting climate change. The Mayor’s London Climate Change Action Plan, Action Today Protecting Tomorrow, outlines how London intends to cut CO2 levels by 60% a year by 2025.
Everyone has a part to play, and the Mayor is keen to partner with governments, businesses and organisations such as the Climate Group to deliver this. The Mayor will also lead a number of high profile initiatives to help Londoners reduce their CO2 emissions.
The Planet DIY campaign aims to not only communicate the simple, easy things Londoners can do to save CO2 in their homes, but also aims to help Londoners implement them. We don't have to reduce our quality of life to tackle climate change, but we do have to change the way we live. The easy to use Planet DIY Repairs kit featuring mugs, shower timers, stickers provide people with simple prompts to change their behaviours. This is why the Mayor is supporting the Together campaign, to help communicate London’s solutions to climate change.
