Together's gone down under

15 July 2008

On 11th July Together went down under with a big launch at the Sydney Opera House. Some of Australia’s biggest brands have joined forces with the Together campaign against climate change. Acting Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard was there to preside over the launch. And to help celebrate the campaign’s arrival down under, some Australian legends pitched in to help create their own version of our Together We Can film. Check it out!

Together’s Australian partners will work together to bring our Australian friends easy ways to fight climate change. Who’s on board already?

  • Australia Post – guess what they do?
  • GE – one of the world’s leading electrical manufacturers
  • Origin – Australia’s leading energy company
  • Visy – recycling company
  • Westpac – one of Australia’s largest banks
  • IAG – a leading insurance company in Australia
  • Channel Ten – a major TV network

Many more big brands are due to join the Australian campaign this year. We’re really looking forward to work with our new Aussie friends – and watching their own CO2 savings start adding up.

And since Aussies love to compete, maybe we’ll organise a match in the months to come. We’re not saying anything yet (they just signed on, after all!) – but keep an eye out!
