HRH The Prince of Wales praises Together in May Day Speech

On 1 May over 1,700 business leaders from across the country were addressed by HRH The Prince of Wales and Prime Minister Gordon Brown at UK’s largest gathering of businesses and organisations committed to taking collective action on climate change, organized by our supporters Business in the Community. During his speech, HRH The Prince of Wales gave Together the thumbs up:
...”The Climate Group’s “Together” campaign, in partnership with Business in the Community, has already helped members of the public reduce nearly half a million tonnes of CO2 emissions through simple, affordable actions such as cheaper energy efficient light bulbs and loft insulation.”
As part of our first birthday celebrations were welcoming a number of major new supporters to the campaign including BITC. We’ll be working with them to get more businesses involved in helping their customers do something positive about climate change.
